About this hostname

One person, a weekend notes file, and a DNS name that does not belong to a registrar portfolio. There is no office, no trademark filing, and no “team” hiding behind a first-person plural.

I keep a handful of machines at home and a cheap VPS for experiments that should not sit on the living-room network. ipv64.net hands out names for that kind of clutter. saferedirect stuck because I was tired of typing longer labels.

What I wanted

Group chats love wrapping destinations. By the time a link has been copied twice, I cannot tell whether I am opening a documentation page or a lookalike. The original sketch was a page that prints the host in a large typeface and waits for a second click.

I never opened it to strangers. Hosting other people’s URLs means hosting other people’s problems. These files are the leftover explanation.

What this is not

It is not a URL shortener. It is not a reputation scanner. It is not affiliated with ipv64 beyond using their free name. If a browser, crawler, or curious stranger lands here, they get static HTML. That is the entire public surface.

If I ever run the interstitial for myself again, it will stay on a name I already control. I will not pretend this brochure is a product in the meantime.
