Look at the address before you go

Safe Redirect is a tiny personal habit: when someone forwards a short or messy link, pause on a plain page that shows the real destination, then choose whether to continue.

This instance is closed. There is no public box to paste a URL. I kept the name on a home-lab DNS record so the pages stay put. If you arrived here from a bookmark or a search, you are looking at a brochure, not a service.

The idea is deliberately small. No accounts. No “safe browsing” partnership. No queue of other people’s links. Just a reminder that the text on a button is not the same thing as the host you are about to open.

I wrote these pages so I would stop explaining the same three sentences in chat. The hostname saferedirect.ipv64.net is a cheap, ugly label I can remember. It is not a company, a product launch, or an app store listing.

If you expected a form

There isn’t one. A public paste box turns into a magnet for junk, and I do not want to babysit other people’s destinations. The walkthrough on How it would work is the whole design, written out so I do not have to redraw it later.
